Triumph Stag Rover V8 project

From the seller: “Engine:

This stag is fitted with the more reliable Rover V8 SD1 V8 on carbs and is mated to a LT77 5 speed Manual gearbox (I personally like this combination and had this in my last stag)

The conversion parts are worth £1000 if you were to buy them seperatley.
And I’ve seen a Rover V8 engine & 5 speed box listed on EBay for £1500.

The engine runs well and was on the button.
I have bought a new battery and it has new oil and filter ready for an oil change.
There is also a new water pump and the alternator needs refitting.

Body:

The car body is pretty solid, doors front and rear wings, bonnet are good.

The passenger door is good and solid, the drivers door is good but has had some welding and needs finishing off.

Boot lid needs repair but a I have another one that is in better condition.

It does require some small patches / plate welding underneath.
It’s had some welding done to the floor pan and boot floor.
(I have a welder and everything you need which is avaliable seperatly)

The sills are pretty solid but inner sill needs very small plate welding on where it meets the rear wheel arch on the drivers side.

The areas that need welding are:

2 small plates under the rear seat pan

2 x small 4″ patchs in each of the front wheel arches where they meet the front valance

I x 6″ plate repair on the rear passenger side chassis outrigger”
