From the seller: “Originally a Jaguar Brown’s Lane press car, this vehicle was produced as a right hand drive vehicle but with US spec. featuring twin headlamps, enlarged side markers and a boot mounted rear brake light and used by the press fleet for the first eight months of it’s life before being sold through the Jaguar dealer in Reading in late 1986 to a UK customer.
You will see from my feedback and other listings that I am passionate about the brand and this car was to have been my light winter project but I discovered only yesterday that I am going to be having surgery shortly and I won’t be able to do it now so I would sooner someone else recommission it during the winter rather than have it sitting outside, it has run sweetly within the last 12 months but the fuel rail and tank have been overhauled and require refitting before it will run again, everything is there, it just needs putting back together.
A 3.6 manual cabriolet, arguably the best balance of driving pleasure in the model range, the car had a major restoration sixteen years ago but then, through a combination of circumstances was used very sparsely and sat for many years in a garage without use at all and subject to a deceased estate.”
