Classic Car Auctions (CCA) will hold its biggest sale of the year on 24th and 25th March at the NEC, Birmingham with more than 160 ‘everyman’ classics on offer at the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show.
With an estimated total value of over £2.5 million, the catalogue is CCA’s highest value offering to date and will feature cars from over 40 marques spanning almost 100 years, from 1923 to 2014.
Gary Dunne, sales manager, Classic Car Auctions, said: “Where do I start! The CCA Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show Sale has it all. We’re the biggest exhibitor at this year’s show and our team has worked hard to be able to offer our best ever selection of cars at this popular event.”
Indeed, the sale offers an astonishing mix of cars ranging from vintage and veteran examples to modern classics, including celebrity owned cars, collectible low mileage examples and very rare models.
Those sure to attract intense bidding include a rare BMW 2002 Tii with a guide of just £8,000 to £10,000, a very well presented Jensen Interceptor estimated at £45,000 to £50,000, a road-legal 1981 Porsche 911 SC RS Homage estimated at £36,000 to £40,000, and a low-mileage 2001 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante estimated £58,000 to £66,000.
Fast Fords are represented in abundance with 25 models available, including an incredibly smart 1983 Fiesta XR2 MK1 estimated at £12,000 to £16,000, and a ‘seriously quick’ 1979 Escort RS200 Custom estimated at £24,000 to £28,000, as well as a number of sensational Sierra Cosworths to suit all budgets.
Those wanting to enjoy the glitz and glamour of celebrity provenance can chose from a supercharged 2007 Range Rover Sport previously owned by David Beckham OBE, estimated £32,000 to £36,000, a 1977 Mercedes-Benz 450 once owned by music legend Barry Gibb CBE estimated at £12,000 to £15,000, or a 1995 BMW E38 750IL formerly owned by rocker Francis Rossi OBE, estimated at between £7,000 and £9,000.
Heading back down to earth, but no less appealing, are eight no reserve lots including an extensively restored 1987 Land Rover 90 County Station Wagon and a lavishly appointed 1997 Daimler Six (X330).
Particularly fitting for the show itself, there are also project cars available including a 1973 Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 estimated at £30,000 to £35,000 and an almost completed 1988 Peugeot 205 1.9 GTi Rally project car, to be offered at ‘no reserve’.
