From the seller: “1973 Leyland FG550 Redline.
This is the rare 3993cc petrol engine model that has undergone extensive work here at JK Classics. While in our ownership we have stripped and rebuilt the engine (including a rebore to plus .030) with the water pump re-conditioned and the clutch re-lined. The carb has been stripped and rebuilt with electronic ignition and an electronic fuel pump fitted. The brakes were stripped and rebuilt with new tyres fitted all round. The body was attached with aluminium fittings to replace the wood and side guards were fabricated, painted and fitted. We fabricated ramps and ramp storage underneath (as seen in pictures). Period correct tie downs were fitted to the bed in order to secure any loads. The cab has had repair work with the seats being re-covered and the roof liner being re-done. We then treated the truck to a red respray. ”
