Saab 99 project

From the seller: “This is the 2.0L 4 Door model with a very low 48448miles on the clock.

I bought this about 2 1/2yrs ago and lost my dry storage after the first year and have not had the time I thought I would get to bring everything back to A1 condition.

Generally this car is extremely sound for a 48yr old vehicle and with low miles this is why I bought it.

Good bits:- Fully overhauled callipers, new discs at the front, new handbrake shoes, shocks replaced 2yrs ago with Munro’s, New wiper blades generally very solid bodywork except highlighted below, good in date tyres. Engine & gearbox runs well.

Bad bits:- A mystery electric fault in the wiring has stopped the wipers, fan blower, fuel & temp gauges working (suspect earth fault as this happened during my ownership), brake fluid leakage has caused a very local area of rust in area of front drivers side arch (massively oversize replacement panel supplied to cut down), Reverse key interlock not working but all parts look present. Sun damage to seat cloth causing some tares.

This car has character in bucket loads and get smiles & thumbs up where ever I drive it! Currently insured and used locally from time to time. However unless you are very local I would probably recommend the buyer getting it transported until you are sure it is roadworthy yourself.”
