From the seller: “Mk 2 Transit “Pilote” motorhome……..handle bars on the left and will need UK registration [I can assist with this]………Runs & drives as expected and the speedo is reading 19000kms…..so is it 15000 miles ? or is it 80000 miles ??? It could be either.
The cab body is in excellent condition needing nothing more than a spin polish…………the coachbuilt body is in fabulous condition………[except for the awful home made rear bumper] and will need nothing much to make perfect………..The chassis and underside is quite remarkable which is why I question the miles.
Steeping back in time it was probably considered the height of luxury with real wood furniture all complimented with a cooker, fridge etc………a large shower room at the rear complete with handbasin and a thunder box wc………..No evidence of damp to speak of however there is a broken plastic skylight.
Double bunk above the drivers seat and the dining table converts to a double bed.
The interior is without doubt beyond using……….to be frank it needs gutting and refitting with all the goodies you can buy today from the camper shop !
In summary a great classic camper, a very worth while project and no real mechanicals to do.”
