From the seller: “This Carmine Red with Biscuit interior is a 1977 Triumph 2500 S for a spares or repair project with V5 and currently on SORN and registered as an Historic Vehicle.
I bought this at the start of the year fully intending to rebuild it. However having reviewed it in the Summer have decided to let it go to a good home for restoration as to pay someone else to do all the welding would be uneconomic.
I have however bought all the panels required to do the work (again up for grabs if anyone wants those too and could be purchased separately to the car for around £1900 (spent over £2,500 on OEM or good quality panels).
The car is complete, except for the engine (a PI version of which I bought later this year and is available for purchase separate to the sale of the car).
The Triumph 2500 S, which has done around 73,000 miles could be a source of many good quality spares, if it’s not being rebuilt and still has its’ original Borg Warner automatic gear box fitted.”
