A lot of small vans, such as this 1988 Bedford Rascal, are getting transformed into micro campervans. We like this one as it is, but it’ll be up to the buyer!
From the seller: “1988 Bedford Rascal Van
I bought this van earlier in the year from a small holding 15 minutes away where I bought two tractors, it had been there from brand new
The van was brand new to Eric Downes in Stubbington who bought it new from Portsmouth Vauxhall for selling his own strawberries in laybys and at the end of his drive
The reason the van was favoured is it can be loaded without getting in and out, simply lifting a crate in from either 3 doors.
The last picture is from google street view showing it at the end of his drive with the strawberry trolley behind
The van is in remarkable condition having been put away a couple of years ago and always kept in the dry
The little van has all the books supplied new, the original V5 and the one now in my name
It starts up well and runs smoothly, it does want some recommissioning as to be expected, the odd steering gator boot, brakes adjusting up, service etc amongst some other jobs”
