From the seller: “Welcome to the auction of my 1955 cadillac coupe deville, I have owned this car for the last 3 years but now unfortunately having to reluctantly sell due to permanent storage issues and change of circumstances.
The car is currently as photographed and needs some re assembly to complete. Although all there.
It has the correct engine and gearbox, the car starts runs and can be driven round the yard. Brakes were all rebuilt along with a full gearbox rebuild and was used prior to being stripped on the road. Receipts for this and a small portfolio of parts are included. A replacement battery and battery leads have been fitted recently to aid moving also and the car starts and moves under its own power nicely.
Good tyres fitted (recent when purchased) alternator conversion, fitted holly 4 barrel carb, electric fuel pump, alloy radiator (original replacement included for new owner) the interior was re trimmed by the previous owner and is presentable and good to go.
I had the car re painted £5000 and is straight and tidy with no rott in the body ( this car has never welded and is rock solid example) , some small blemishes in paint that will require touching up and the hood will also require re painting. Otherwise overall a nice job
Most of the exterior of the car has been re chromed and all trim presentable or fully restored. But now requires fitting up. This includes both re chromed front and back bumpers. A selection of interior pieces have also been re chromed. And all gold items anodised. This was carried out by Douglas metal refinishers to the value of £7000″
