With the bullet-proof 200tdi engine, this Land Rover Series 2 Safari should take you anywhere…and back!
From the seller: “Built in 1962 it’s a series 2. Powered by a Defender 200 Tdi engine with its original gearbox & transfer box. To keep it looking period it retains its oil bath filter carcus and original radiator. The intercooler is nicely placed out of sight. Marine blue with limestone wheels & roof.
Everything works as it should. We drove this over 120 miles at the weekend and it was brilliant. The gearbox and overdrive work as they should, all oil levels are spot on. Goodyear G90 tyres (x5), safari roof vents, solid doors, nice patina. It’s mainly original paint, a few areas have been touched up over the years but it looks good. Door tops are fairly new, seats are all in lovely condition. It starts on the button, runs and stops as it should.
Obviously being a 1962 it’s had sympathetic restoration over the years but it’s been really well maintained. The owner before me had it nearly 15 years and did the engine conversion. All numbers match on the V5 that is correct and in my name. “
