This Pontiac Grand Prix looks to be a great rolling restoration for somebody, with a few niggles to sort along the way.
From the seller: “
Please find for sale my 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix.
It goes without saying you wont see many of these around, so this is a great opportunity to get a killer car at a decent price.
Condition wise, I consider it a running project which needs some fettling but can be used and improved, or dug into over the winter ready to break hearts at the shows next year.
The good:
389ci 6.4l v8 3 on the floor auto
Drives, starts and stops very nicely
Pillerless, and all windows go up and down without issue
Paint looks great with a rubbed through look on the outside and green metalflake on the interior completed by Creative Soul Custom
The Bad:
Needs some trim putting back on inside but it is mostly there
Has a snapped bolt in the manifold so blows (but sounds awesome)
The blow overheats the starter on a long drive so it needs to cool down before restarting
Gearbox slips as it is dropping fluid so have a new filter and service kit for it. Can be topped up and used
Oil leak (what classic doesn’t have that!)
Wiring issues – headlights, windscreen wipers fans all need seeing to.
That said it drives and runs really well and can be driven away and did a 2 hour journey 2 weeks ago without issue. Once the niggles are sorted, this will be a £15k car for sure, super rare and incredibly cool.”
