“This stunning 1969 Ford Transit with Castrol Oil inspired colour scheme was built by luxury coachbuilders Monaco By Stanford as their own promotional vehicle and completed in 2005.
The vehicle has gained celebrity status by being used in the 2008 Jason Statham film The Bank Job. The van has also been featured as a 7 page headline spread in Classic Van Magazine in September 2017, taken centre stage at many prestigious shows and events, and invited to the Goodwood Revival as part of celebrations to mark Ford’s 100 years in Britain plus it caught the eye of Panorama crew who wanted to stage a reconstruction of an IRA silver bullion raid in the seventies that was filmed in 2006.
The history file contains the detailed build sheet, hand sketches, and design planning notes by Stanford Coachworks, Classic Van and Pick-up magazine 7 page article dated September 2017, Stanford Coachworks Annual 2015 proudly displaying the van at various shows and past MOT certificates back to 2005 documenting the mileage since the new engine was fitted.
