From the seller: “This auction is for a 1974 Austin Maxi AUTOMATIC in carmine red.
Car has not been used much recently and therefore needs general TLC and a few specific items attended to. I am not mechanically minded so any potential bidder is strongly advised to view the car and carry out an inspection prior to bidding.
The bulk of the body is in generally good condition. However, there is some bubbling on the bottom of two doors and sills need attention. It’s had two new front wings in the past and all the wheel arches look good. It needs a good polish but again please inspect the car to satisfy yourself of its condition.
It does start and run but the tyres need replacing and it’s become apparent that the gearbox needs attention. On this basis it does need work to make it roadworthy.
The rooflining, seats and door cards are all in very good condition.
Tax and MOT exempt. There a very few of these left now and this one has great potential.”
