1979 Vauxhall Cavalier 2000 GLS Sports Hatch project

From the seller: “1979 Vauxhall Cavalier 2000 GLS Sports Hatch. Unfinished project. Registered as a historic vehicle so tax and MOT exempt.

I had all necessary welding done so it’s all solid underneath, rear wheel arches and rear sill section replaced. I bought this at the start lockdown but had to abandon project when I was returned to work sooner than I expected….
The was running nicely last year on external petrol can, but currently doesn’t start and I haven’t had a chance to touch it since last summer.

Needs exterior cosmetic work where the arches have been replaced as my skills aren’t the best, interior and front bumper refitting, bottom of doors doing, and a general recommission to get it running & on the road. Electrics, brakes, etc work and it’s all complete as far as I can tell. I’ve fitted a brand new battery and the engine spins over great with good oil pressure.”
