From the seller: “For sale is my 1986 Ford Capri Mk3
It was originally a 2.8 injection but it’s now fitted with a 5.4L (327 cubic inch) small block chevy and 4 speed manual muncie m20 gearbox, engine has a edelbrock afb 650 carb, ally intake manifold & HEI ignition
The casting number is 3892657 which I believe means the engine is a 1964-1967 327 2 bolt
It runs & drives well and is great fun on the road, it does want a few bits doing but can be used as is
It has a fairly recent McLeod clutch, the rear axle is the standard 2.8 atlas with a welded diff, single rear leaf springs & lowering blocks
Lowering springs on the front and 6j slotmags all round with 205/60/13 tyres
The shell is rough and has had welding in the past, it’s solid enough underneath and has mot until February next year
The front valance is home made, my plan was to fit a front splitter
There is some damage to the nearside rear quarter as can be seen in the pictures
Nearside exhaust manifold has a leak from the gasket, new gaskets are included and just need fitting
The exhaust system is two straight pipes with cherry bombs which are loud and sound great”
