Retro camper vans are cool. There’s no debate to be had about it. And, in my opinion, the Bedford CA is one of the coolest!
From the seller: “Very reluctantly I am clearing all of my projects after having to admit I’m running out of steam!
I simply haven’t got the energy any more!
I have decided to spend my time driving classics rather than restoring them.
I first owned this Bedford in 1997 and sold it to a friend on the basis that I could buy it back if he decided to sell.
25 years later I got it back. It now needs some love.
It’s a worthy project that runs ok, has been converted to run on LPG or petrol, has a gas water heater and a hidden shower! It has a fold away tow bar too. There are also too many spares to list here but they are by separate negotiation and include practically every thing on a Debonair (including interior bits) as one was cut up for bits. You can expect to do a bit of welding, a bit of woodworking and some fibreglass repair, but nonetheless, they’re getting rare and expensive! so well worth it. In case you’re not familiar, the debonair is fitted with 2 double beds.”
