He really is a head turner and where ever we go people always want to have a look around the van and take pictures, really is the ultimate easy going surf rig or outdoor rig with a lot of character and go.
I have been all over the Uk with friends and my daughter in the van and just done this years hols all the way down to Swanage Lyme Regis Bude Woolacombe, Brean along the coast of south wales then up the west coast back north to Manchester.
The van performs great and cruises well and its quiet for its age. Over 13 years ago the old V8 was swapped out for the very reliable easy to run and repair Nissan 2.8 engine with autobox, same engine as black cab upto 99 and out of the ford maverick, so bits are cheap to buy plus no fancy electrics to go wrong. Simply hit the diesel heat switch and she fires right up. Here’s what I’ve done asI’ive spent a lot of money to make sure he is bang on.
This unique rig has a bench seat which folds down into a double bed within 2 mins and has front belts also. Kids sleep on the rear bench seat and one on the floor using the other long seat pad if needed”
