This low mileage ‘garage find’ Ford Escort XR3i is going to attract a lot of attention from classic Ford fans from around the UK and beyond.
From the seller: “Selling on behalf of a client:
This XR3i is one of the last MK3’s having been registered in 1985 just as the MK4 replaced it. Its in rare Mineral Blue. The mileage is correct at 27K. This is backed up by the service history and previous MOT’s. It sat in a damp garage for over 25 years and was in a pretty sorry state. It has had a sympathetic restoration. I have many images of the car during the panel restoration. New panels used were…. N/S/F Wing, N/S Sill section, Front Panel, Front Crossmember, Both inner & outer rear wheel arch sections, both Inner & Outer Lower Rear Corners & Rear Panel.. Other than that there was no further corrosion found in the shell..
It also has a new Ali coolant Radiator with a complete set of silicon hoses. Its been serviced with new brakes all round.
It runs and drives on the button and sounds as crisp as the day it left the showroom.
It still has the supplying dealer plates and rear window sticker (Endeavour Brighton)..
This is a one owner car from new NO previous owners on old type log book
Lots of history
New MOT.”
