A stalled project, this Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth 4×4 looks like it could well be on the road for the next show season if the right buyer is found.
From the seller: “Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth 4×4.
J reg (1991), 11 owners.
Last MOT 51639 miles Nov 2007.
The car is currently a rolling shell with minimal components on it.
It was originally bought as a full restoration project, it has been disassembled, blasted and painted by the previous owner, I have all of the parts with extras, be under no illusion that the refit will be bolt on and go, the parts will need inspection and for the most part refurbishing but this is without doubt an ideal opportunity to build your perfect car however you want it.
The car has what I have been told when i bought it (Dec 2021) is all parts from the original car with the addition of spares from a donor car too. I have 6 doors spare in different colours to the car along with the doors that are painted on the car!
Lots of glass for doors, front and rear screens fitted in the car, the rest of the parts are boxed.
The interior is Raven leather with two of the best front seats that I have seen since the late 90’s with very good condition leather rear set etc. The door cards are complete, some speakers in the cards with slight lifting of the edges but not shrunk to hell.
Parts like the engine, head, gearbox, f & r diffs etc will all need inspection as have been off the vehicle for 10 years plus. Fuel tank, exhaust, fuel pipes, brake pipes etc are not on the vehicle but are in the parts bundle but would expect need to be remade or fully inspected.
There is a box of new parts included, such as poly bushes, cosworth engine gasket set, timing belt etc
This car will require a trailer / flatbed and a very large van to take all of the parts at the same time.”
