From the seller: “Here is my Vauxhall Viva GT Mk1, I have owned this for 14 years but its with a heavy heart that I have to sell this, I find my enthusiasm has left me and the car deserves someone who wants to get it past the finish line and show it.
Its not yet on the road nor taxed / insured for the road, but starts and drives on the back lot here fine. So it will need to be transported back to the new owners location not driven.
The shell was rebuilt with all NOS parts (inner, outer wings, one arch & rear valance), the original paint colour of Le Mans Blue was re applied by the super skilled guys over at Retropower in Hinckley.
The engine is a fully rebuilt Lotus 912 by Toovey race engines of Cannock, with a Fuel injection conversion from Lotusbits in Coventry. Engine is controlled via a DTA S40 ECU setup
The wheels are original 1970’s Wolfrace alloys, full recon, polish and lacquer, now shod with Yoki A591’s.
The gearbox is a Toyota W57 with a Cube short shift conversion from Australia”
