From the seller: “OK so the plan when building this truck was to never sell it. Life happens, i need to free up some cash for other projects so nows the time to see if itll go.
So i bought it in 2013 i think as a standard 1998, 3dr Discovery commercial specifically for the build. It was previously owned by an LRO Magazine staff member so its been in some old mags as a standard truck.
My very good friend was roped in and the project began.
He took the chassis and modified it to accept various future plans.
These include rear winch tray, Outriggers for a roll cage, rock slider mounts, modified rear body mounts and more…
It was blasted and hot dipped galvanised before coming back to the workshop to begin the build.
So the engine is a 300TDi with a manual R380 gearbox and LT230 Transfer Box. It had a service and new clutch when fitted, Although its a few years its not actually many miles. Its had several services over the years and Its also recently (milage wise) had a new turbo and recon head.”
