1960 Austin Seven Deluxe Mini

From the seller: “This is a rare opportunity to own a totally unique and unrestored Austin Seven Deluxe Mini. Recently featured in the May 2021 edition of Miniworld Magazine titled Patina Princess.

We have owned this Mini for the last four years and we had intended to carry out a full restoration, however, upon inspection it was decided to leave her exactly as she is. Once restored the glorious patina which has taken 60 years to mature would be lost forever, and as a road legal working car a restoration was deemed unnecessary and would detract and devalue her, after all its only original once.

Built on 11th October 1960 she was sold new by Craybrooke Garage Ltd in Sidcup, Kent on 2nd January 1961 to her first owner Mr William Stanley Mabe Esq and registered on the plate 59MKK which she still retains today and was finished in Tartan Red with Grey and Red interior. All the original documentation is still present with the car including the original log book, sales invoice, registration book, driving licences and every MOT certificate issued from its first in 1965 up to its last in 1975 when it was taken off the road and laid up in a Garage for the next 40 years. Also present are some Black and White period photos of her back in the 1960’s which show all the period accessories fitted to her, which remarkably are virtually all still present. Even down to the Leopard Print Seat covers which are still in the Boot.”
