This VW beach Buggy was obviously on the road at some point. Would you stick a Beetle engine in there, or go down a similar route to the seller?

From the seller: “This buggy is an unfinished project which i have know of for the past 10 years, and have always tried to purchase from the previous owner, i recently bought it will all the intentions of putting a motor bike engine in it and finishing it off, but we are so busy at work at the moment to have chance to give it any attention.”
