Before I had it, the previous owner had a body-off restoration done and replaced the original 700cc engine for a Reliant 850cc and gearbox. Chassis is excellent. I have done the following,

New points
New battery
Refurbished carburettor
Recently had a new head gasket and refurbished head at a specialist garage
54,000 miles, spare wheel, MOT and tax exempt
This Bug is by no means perfect but it is reliable and can be used exactly as it is, but with a few cosmetics could be turned into a very good example.”
