We see quite a few Bond Bugs for sale and this looks like one of the better ones! These small-engined three-wheelers have now firmly establihed themselves as ‘cult’ cars and the prices seem to be rising all the time…
From the seller: “I am not an expert in Bond Bugs – but I am told that this vehicle was taken apart, the chassis was galvanised and then everything was restored and put back together. The previous keeper described it as fully restored and has several that he is rebuilding currently too.
In my ownership, I have replaced various parts….. I’ve put in some new spark plugs, distributor, etc as it was only running on 3 cylinders. It now starts first click, sounds great and drives well. I have also fitted a new rear propshaft as the old one had been repaired.
As can be seen from the photos, this vehicle does look good but I would not call it concourse or perfect – rather, I would describe it as in very nice and useable condition.”
