If you love your 70’s cars and want something that stands out a bit from the crowd, this Hillman Avenger is well worth a look!
From the seller: “1972 Hillman Avenger 1500 deluxe
Automatic gearbox
Thanks for looking at this rare example of a 1970;s icon the Hillman Avenger. This example is the 1500cc Deluxe fitted with an automatic gearbox.
It was registered in April 1972 and has had 4 previous keepers.
The recorded mileage is 89000 miles and was last MOT’d in 2014 at 85000 miles.
It has obviously been used regularly and has MOT history since 2006 showing nothing remarkable.
The bodywork is the original dark metallic green and features four headlights. The paintwork is in generally very good condition with the only corrosion being on the leading edge of the bonnet. The panel gaps and door shuts ae very good and I am informed that it has had two new front wings. The underside seems solid enough . The engine bay is nice and tidy.
The interior has nice seats (similar to the Tiger ones) . The seats are very good apart from some wear on the drivers bolster. The dashboard has some cracks on the top. The headlining is very good as are the door cards. The carpet is ok.
Mechanically I have had the Avenger running and sounds very nice. It has got an electric fuelpump fitted but not very well so if i get chance I’ll fit a normal fuel pump before the auction ends.
All in all this is a really nice Avenger that will need some tinkering but has great potential”
