The seller of this MK1 Ford Escort had had it a while, but it’s time to let the car go to a new home.
From the seller: “The time has come to stop kidding myself that this will get back on the road and offer it up for sale. After buying this with my dad in 2001 as a father and son restoration project…..it’s never come to fruition. It’s had a few homes, some attempted work and some spare parts amassed, but it’s never going to get finished whilst in my possession.
It could be great for the right person with the time to get this back on the road – Sport versions of basic Escort design: GT right from start, Sport with Mexico shell and suspension from late ’71, tarted-up 1300E from March ’73. All with Weber-carburetted engine, front discs and 90mph top speeds. 1300E, with nicest furnishing, was best of the bunch.
You’ll see from the pictures, it needs two inner front wings as a priority. To get it trailered to its current home, the rebar was welded in for support and ‘currently’ means it’s moveable at least”
