This Volkswagen Golf MK1 is a great little find and you’re probably less likely to spot one at a show than you are the more ‘sporty’ GTi versions.
From the seller: “This was a special order RHD Swedish car. It was imported a few years ago, so has been registered here and the Reg is ADV 328X. Its done 125k.
We sourced it locally and the gent was going to go down the full restoration road and over time (years) he collected every part required to complete this process. And I
mean everything, just look at the pics. Everything is organised. All the parts aquired are not your normal rubbish parts, they are all quality brands. And I’m going to be honest I don’t know why he has bought so much as I’ve had a look underneath and it isn’t terrible.
It will need some welding of course, but it all depends how far you want to go, to either make it road worthy, or fully restore it. Either way you will have all the parts here to make it right.
The history file is incredible and just as organised as the parts are in that pic.
It starts on the button and drives spot on. Remember this car is of the age where it is MOT and TAX exempt.”
