From the seller: “This is my auction for my much loved mk1 fiesta project that is 95 percent ready for the road.
The car had been sat in a barn for 20 odd years untouched and needed a complete refresh of all parts. has one owner from new and I have the original registration document from 1981. i have also have the full logbook for the vehicle as well.
i have replaced these parts on the vehicle:
head skimmed and new head gasket.
all new gaskets on the engine.
new clutch and release bearing.
new ball joints.
new front pads and discs.
new track rod ends.
new brake hoses all round.
new master cylinder.
new rear wheel cylinders.
new rear brake shoes.
new rear wheel bearings.
new drivers side headlight.
new wipers all round.
new starter motor.
new battery.
second hand twin choke weber carb as old one beyond repair.
new ignition coil, leads, plugs, dizzy cap and points.
had a new inner and outer sill and wheel arch as was the only part on the car that was severely rotten as you can see from pictures.
I have had the car running perfectly and have got a video of it being driven but when it was running it cut out and wouldnt restart and i found that the fuel pump had dragged rust from the fuel tank so the fuel tank needs cleaning out and a new fuel pump to get her up and running again.”
