From the seller: “This is a project and the engine has been removed. This has a 1.6 crossflow Kent from a early 80-82 xr2. I bought this vehicle under the Intention it was full rebuilt and run very good with bigger pistons ect. I did get the engine running but wasn’t the best so I removed the engine too get it inspected
The valves wasn’t seated properly in the head, brass dowels cracked so I head the head been rebuilt, was already ported and polished, valves re seated and head skimmed
771M block becoming rare. I stripped the block down and sent this too a local engineers too be inspected.
Crank needs grinding, cam worn, re sleeve the block as it is worn. this has +90 pistons so has been bord out. I have the full report for the new owner so they know what needs doing for the rebuild.
5 speed gearbox was fitted also
