From the seller: “This Vintage Tamiya Truck from the 1980’s has been stripped down, cleaned, sprayed up & put back together again into what you see here.
Everything on the chassis works & all any bits etc have been changed for good ones. The bearings have all been changed for new/ unworn ones, The moving parts all have a little silicone grease on so as not to drip on a shelf, so for serious running it may need a decent oil up!
The chassis is in very good condition to this one, with no broken/repaired parts etc. very good condition original screws, nice and shiny, no tarnishing etc. only a very small amount of wear on the bottom of the rear plastic gearbox, the rest is in vgc. It came without a bumper so it has a modded re-release one to fit.
The body has had a couple of small patch repairs on the inside, but this does not show on the outside & they have been filled & sanded etc. so all looks good. The windscreen and stays are re-pro. but are a direct copy of the 80’s originals. the rest of the body looks good and all in vgc.
It runs and drives, Fine with 2x Acoms AS12’s and an AR 201 reciever on 27mhz spec. with the original 2 terminal resistors on the mechanical speed controller. and an ok condition Acoms Mk3 Transmitter. Just add batteries and it will go!”
