From the seller: “This a stunning little car , highly modified, the 1198cc engine has been replaced by a 3.5-litre V8 Rover unit, with Edelbrock 1404 Performer carburettor and Mocal remote oil filter kit. An LT77 gearbox from a Rover SD1 has been installed, together with Sherpa V8 remote linkage and a rear limited-slip diff, adjustable gas struts on the rear and coilovers from a Mk2 Escort on the front.
Has a brake servo, front disc brakes with vented M16 calipers and rear disk brakes with Milton conversion kit, Ford Fiesta discs and Ford Granada calipers. It also has a Milton pedal box with brake bias adjustment between front and rear brakes. A quick rack and pinion kit from a Mk2 Escort has been installed, along with an electric radiator cooling fan, Facet electric fuel pump and PerTronix electronic ignition and an aluminium fuel cell and battery has been fitted in the boot. All engineering and mechanical work has been carried out by MDA Motorsport.”
