A great project and that Redtop Vauxhall engine on throttle bodies alone must be worth a fair bit, especially as so much has already been spent on the fuel system.
From the seller: “For sale is my unfinished Westfield Project. I am reluctantly selling as I just do not have the time to finish it and it is getting in the way…
The Westfield is registered on a Q Plate. The V5 is present and in my name
First registered in July 1996
Its registered make is a Westfield
Colour currently registered as Blue – although body panels now painted black
The previous owner (my father in law) pranged it and as such it is an Insurance Category D. It was this that prompted the rebuild – new chassis/body panels/rebuild that started in 2010
It has been dry stored in my garage for circa 6 years. The main reason it has never really progressed is the engine doesn’t want to run right.. it starts and runs on tick over, but it doesn’t seem to want to rev and be ‘active’. My deduction is mechanically it is fine – good cylinder compression etc, but I think the injection system needs re-mapping as it feels like the ecu is overfueling which in turn is making the engine sluggish and unresponsive. I had considered removing the injection system and installing webbers instead… But lack of time to investigate further ultimately means condition unknown.”
