From the seller: “1997 Mitsuoka Ray *Auto*
Mitsuoka is a small Japanese automobile company noted for building unique cars with unconventional styling, some of which are modern while others imitate the look of American, European and particularly British retro cars of the 1950s and 1960s. The Ray, based on a Mazda / Autozam Carol, is designed to imitate the Riley Elf
As with most KEI cars its a 650cc 3 Cylinder engine with an automatic gearbox. It runs well and goes through all the gears as it should
The car has covered just 60K miles (98K km) with only 2 previous owners since being imported to the UK. Recently its has had a new battery, new tyres and a new custom made exhaust system
Bodywork is in good condition, its very straight but does has a couple of issues. The paintwork on the roof is very flat due to the Japanese sun, there is also some paintwork staining on the tailgate and bonnet. The wheels are in great condition without curbing or corrosion.
No rust on this one, its been very well kept. Sills are solid and even the rear arches (first to go) show no signs of corrosion.
The interior is in fantastic condition, no damaged or missing parts. Still has the original ‘Autozam’ branded floor mats!
A rare sight even in Japan, let alone the UK. Would like to see the car go to someone who will maintain and enjoy it”
