From the seller: “Here is my 1972 Rover 2200TC, I’ve only had it a month but bought on a whim and now the reality is setting in that I have no garage to keep her and don’t want to leave her on the road over-winter.
Started life as a 2000TC but someone reasonably recently has fitted a 2200 engine in it.
The interior is clean, the engine looks very clean with many new parts including coil , distributor , leads , radiator etc..
Comes with original owners manual and bill of sale
Drives well and surprisingly powerful and economical (easily keeps up with modern traffic)
All the gauges and dials work and all illuminate as they should. In fact everything works as it should.
Gears 1-3 are a little whiny, but it drives fine and starts every morning with some choke.
Paintwork is a bit tardy in places and could benefit from some tidying although generally good and no rust or rot (has been fairly recently undersealed it looks like)
The worst part is someone has fitted (badly) some bonnet spikes (why?) as the bonnet catch/release works fine.
Car is MOT’d although is MOT and Tax except (and insurance was £68 for me !!)”
