Used-car buyers could get behind the wheel of Sir Rod Stewart and Jay Kay from Jamiroquai’s once beloved supercars after they went on sale on premium car marketplace, PistonHeads.com.
Motorsport fans who are also looking to buy a supercar are in luck, as Ferraris owned by Formula 1 royalty Martin Brundle** and Mercedes-AMG F1 CEO and Team Principal Toto Wolff are also up for sale on the site.
Sir Rod’s once owned Ferrari 575M manual, which undoubtedly will always be in his heart, is selling for £179,950 at Slades Garage in Buckinghamshire**. The Giallo Fly yellow car was registered in 2002 and is one of only 69 ever made. Having covered fewer than 25,000 miles, the car is in wonderful condition and has been immaculately maintained with full Ferrari service history. It’s one of just two right-hand-drive manual 575s currently for sale on PistonHeads.
Jay Kay is also selling a classic Ferrari from his collection, with the Virtual Insanity singer’s 365 GT4 BB listed for £369,900. The supercar, in rare Blu Dino Metallic over Pelle Beige interior, is Ferrari’s first mid-engined 12-cylinder production road car and one of just 387 examples ever produced. Supercar enthusiasts can find the car on the forecourt of JZM Porsche in Kings Langley.
Team Principal Wolff is another well-known owner looking to find a buyer for his Italian supercar. The Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta, which has only ever been owned by Wolff, is one of 210 examples ever built and was made in celebration of Ferrari’s 70th anniversary. Interested parties can look at the freshly serviced supercar at Tom Hartley Junior in Derbyshire.
Lastly Brundle, best known now for being the voice of F1 commentary, was the first owner of this Ferrari 360 Modena, which is available for a modest £69,995. Arun in Pulborough promise a “comprehensive” service history and a car in “stunning” condition with 34,000 miles on the clock. No Ferrari is ever going to be truly cheap, but a 360 is one of the most affordable supercars you can buy – one for the future shopping list!
Pete Dignan, Head of Engineering from PistonHeads, said: “PistonHeads’ dealers have sold incredible cars for decades and it’s always great to see cars that have been owned by the rich and famous come up for sale. Having the opportunity to own a car that is not only rare but also formerly owned by someone like Sir Rod Stewart, Jay Kay, Toto Wolff or Martin Brundle doesn’t come around everyday so I’m sure they’ll grab a lot of interest.”
Other rarities in the PistonHeads classifieds have included Queen Elizabeth II’s Bentley Mulsanne seen earlier this year.
