A fair amount of the expense of building a Zetec Escort has already been ploughed into this project. In the right hands, chances are that it could be finished on a fairly tight budget, especially if you pick up the parts needed from ebay. You may even spot some handy Escort parts for sale underneath these photos!
From the seller: “Its quite a clean mk3 escort 1300 ghia shell with a blacktop 2.0 zetec fitted at the time was on a ford efi manifold however i decided to go a different route with this and purchased a set of throttle bodies from a caterham unfortunatly thats as far as it got it was previously on the road until the misfire occured then it got parked up thats when i bought it ive removed the wiring and ecu due to this issue as it was the ecu at fault and the engine loom wasnt too nice (still have these) i was going to go for a stand alone kit the car itself is not too bad does require abit of welding on the os sill and osr outer arch there are no front seats as the 1s in the car when i purchased it didnt fit properly and were in my eyes not safe especially with the 2.0 fitted so they got removed and sold.”
