This Mk1 Cortina has had an easy life, it seems, spending many years in the Malta Classic Car Collection museum. If you ever go to Malta, be sure to check out that place – we’ve been and it was fantastic to see so many British cars in such great condition!
From the seller: “The cortina was a Genuine U.K RHD mk1 cortina 1200 deluxe, imported to malta from the U.K in the late 1960s which it then spent most of its life in a museum (the Malta classic car collection).
She was then brought back to the U.K in 2010 which I later purchased in June 2017 in an unwelded original condition.
I have a picture of her in the museum and pictures of her in the original condition before I had all the work done.
In 2018 she was sent away and stripped of all the running gear down to the shell, engine bay was took back to bare metal which you can still see the original strut top number and spot welds.”
